'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League comeback

Kane achieves his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is currently two years through the four-year agreement he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.

The experienced forward has accumulated an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German club, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the maiden important trophy of his illustrious career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has earlier stated that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England captain has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he previously was, and would certainly contemplate lengthening his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
