Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard courts

A revitalized Medvedev won his maiden championship for over two years with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.

The athlete, a former world number one, has experienced a torrid season, winning just one match at the major tournaments and suffering a meltdown at the New York tournament.

The player's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in specific - resulted in him falling of the elite rankings and eventually parting ways with long-term coach Cervara.

Now collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently advanced in the last few weeks - culminating in a hard-fought three-set victory over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.

This marks Medvedev's maiden championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt after March of 2023.

Success also indicates he has won twenty-one titles at 21 distinct competitions.

"This marks the first occasion I have attended a event with my both daughters simultaneously, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," said world number 14 the champion.

"This title is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."

The athlete, the former major winner, had been defeated in his previous six championship matches, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.

The player's retrieving play style and frequent outbursts on the playing surface had caused observers to doubt if his capacity to play at the highest level was finished.

However the player has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform positively, supported by an enhanced serving game.

Medvedev fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the tricky opponent, winning 4 of the concluding five exchanges to go ahead.

The competitors swapped breaks in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his first tour victory, took control to push for a third set.

The opponent defended 4 initial break points in a tight third set before the champion secured a break to that score to serve for the match.

Suitably, the winner secured the title with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
